Fertile ground

I alternate between caring and not caring about student problems. Probably these correspond to phases of caring and not caring about teaching, and other moods. I still dislike calling myself a teacher, but at least I always give it my best.

Teacher moments

Although I resist labeling myself as a teacher, and I concede it only as a temporary part-time interest, actually it can sometimes be really good. I'm not saying I have good moments all the time or even often, but when I do, it's a buzz.

China's lost children

Catherine is a Chinese 14 year old in a class of about nine similarly aged others, mainly girls. Most are sweet, cute and bright but heart-breaker Catherine doesn't yet understand why boys fight over her.
